Itinerary description
Yabba Falls is located 35km west of Imbil. We entered Yabba Gorge via Fishermans Spur, which requires a lot of pushing through lantana, 2km down a ridge to the creek. From there, it's a further 3km trek along Yabba Creek, over some beautiful boulders and past some wonderful waterfalls/ cascades to Yabba Falls. Unless you are an abseiler, you need to return the same way or do as we did and climb up the very steep side of the gorge back to Bella Creek Rd. It's only a 12km walk but with plenty of stops, it took 8 hours. This hike is only recommended for very fit hikers who are confident at rock scrambling.
