Itinerary description
Yunga Cruz Trail. From Chuñawi to Chulumani. Recorded with GPS garmin eTrex H. Total time 2.5 days. First camping site: Khala Ciudad. Second camping site: Cerro Astillero.
If you will do this trek by your own. Use the maps IGM (Instituto Geografico Militar) Lambate 6044 II and Chulumani 6044 I.
The most confusing detour is in Cerro Duraznuni (where is a very old pine). The left path goes to Chirca and the Right one to Chulumani.
The recomended season is from May to September.

I did this trail on my own end of june 2016. It has great views and with a edium level of fitness you should be able to do it. Wedid it in 4 days.
The only real concern is the water.
In our case after entering the forest (day 2) we found only two water sources:
1st one 20 minutes after entering the forest
2nd one 1 hour after entering the forest--> Make sure you take enough water (4 liters/person would be my advice). There is no more water until you reach Sikilini.
Hello Everyone,
I planed this trip for tomorrow (26.05.2017), but my Hiking Partner got sick. Is there anybody, who wants join the tour spontaneous?
Best David
