  Interesting you have recorded 18 kilometres whereas Guy has recorded 14 .5
  
  DId you get lost ? or are you happy you did that distance . I am planning to walk this route next month with a group

  We didn't get lost, so our route followed Guy's described route. I'm not sure why our distance was so much greater. Part of it's attributable to our track starting at the car park at the edge of town, while I believe Guy's starts from the center of town. But I think the hike is really just longer than Guy measured. I was happy with the distance, but my wife was not. I wouldn't take a group unless everyone's a strong walker. And I'd recommend an early start, given the lack of shade. We didn't get started till late morning.
  
  By the way, we had a wonderful meal at Restaurante Al Lago in Zahara. I highly recommend the place.

  Thanks for that . I did a walk of Guys in Cazorla and he was 7 K short in his estimate!!
  
  I have a very strong group bbut I like to know t he distance to calculate the tiimings .
  
  Thanks f or the tip about the restaurant - we are renting a house in Grazalema and will be doing 8 walks in the area

  Encontramos una verja cerrada completamente pero pudimos romper un alambre y pasar. Buena ruta. Aconsejable pantalón largo en esta época (Octubre 2018) por la cantidad de plantas espinosas.
