Itinerary description
A reverse variation of the Vine, Pine and Gable Trails at Zevenwacht Wine Estate, the standard Vine trail is approximately 5km and this variation takes it to 7.5km in total. The route starts in the parking lot under the picturesque canopy near the restaurant and wine tasting and then turns into vineyards that offer vast vista's over the Stellenbosch hills, Helderberg, Cape Town and the peninsula. The trail also passes a well preserved renosterveld patch near the top of the trail. Be on the lookout for raptors like Fish Eagle and Jackal Buzzards in the open and near the water. The trail is easy and follows wide jeep track for most of the way, there is no exposure to heights or overly steap inclines. An easy trail for families and there is the added bonus of being able to do a wine tasting and or cheese platter after the walk. Zevenwacht also has a restaurant which can serve a cold beer or a variety of meals. The trail even crosses a day spa high up in the vineyards

Easy
Good Trail through some beautiful vineyards, can get hot and shade is limited to the start and end of the walk. You will need to go into Zevenwacht wine estate and park at the wine tasting to start. You can get a map from the wine tasting.
Also please note there may be a fee to hike.
