Ziberova Kula (Korab) Maya Kulla e Zyberit

Strezimir - Štirovica - Ziberova Kula - Golema Korabska Vrata - Strezimir
Road to Strezimir was in good shape and there were many regular cars parked at Karaula Strezimir. Road was fixed due to traditional hike to Golem Korab which is held each year in weekend arround our Independance Day (08 Sep.)
Ziberova Kula is not fascinating and it's maybe easiest peak to ascent on Korab massive but it has the best view as you can see from the pictures taken while recording this trail.
Route starts a little bit bellow Strezimir from where ascent to Korab's highest peak - Golem Korab, starts and it goes to an oposite direction. Wide road will lead you with marks and way points to Brod almost till the ridge, where you continue to follow narrow path going up and down trough many nameless peaks on the way to Ziberova Kula (Kulla e Zyberit). All the time view is fascinating regardless wich side you're looking at, Šar massive, Bistra or Korab.
On this route you will have to pass the river Štirovica, we were lucky as level of water is low in this time of year but I gues spring and early summer would be quite chalange to pass and you need to be aware of this.
Way back from Ziberova Kula shouldn't be used due high vegetation which have made descent very slow and difficult. But you certanly need to descent to Korabska Vrata pass as you wouldn't miss that view. This pass was used erlier between people of both countries.
Ziberova Kula or Mata Kulla e Zyberit is located on the border line between Makedonija and Albania, that is why it has 2 names that I am mentiining while writting this. Also you will be moving right on border line to get to the peak if you choose to follow this trail.
There is another path, very well visible, that goes done beside river, you can try that one instead. Good luck!
