Itinerary description

The trail starts at the Zumarraundi car park and at least half of it goes up through the forest. The first kilometer is a rather cross-country, poorly recognizable forest path. Along the way, you pass sinkholes - deep holes in the ground, from which springs flow here and there. the path leads to the red trail, which is the beginning of the loop. I started left and came back from right.
You follow the red trail through the forest for 2 km, then you reach the couloir and continue along the ridge. At the very top there is a brick chapel, which you can enter, and a viewpoint. The peak of Aizkorri with the cross is 20m higher.
From the top you can follow the ridge to the next one, Aitxuri, a few meters lower. The views from both peaks are equally beautiful and have their subtle differences, so it's worth seeing both.
The return is on the north side of the ridge, so it's cooler and darker in the afternoon. However, there are views and large exposures, so it's worth it. You should keep to the ridge on the right side and then cross it, which is not very visible (a longer return path goes to the left, entering the forest, but running to the same destination).
On the way back through the forest for about 7.5 km, counting from the beginning, you should turn left. There is a tunnel (grotto) of St. Adrian, which comes from the other side of the mountain and leads a trail through it.
Return along the red trail, from which you turn left to the starting point of the loop, the same place where you entered the trail on the way to the top.
