Itinerary description
Mesa Falls is one of the last rides of the season. Trailer Parking is in a large pull off on the NW side of the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway. Parking is right above the canyon used by Bear Gulch Ski Basin. The Ski area closed after the 1985-86 season. The Lodge was removed in 1989.
The first stop is at the upper Mesa Falls.
This is a cross country ride. Fences can cause a problem if a person does not know the area. Lunch is usually taken at the Warm River Fish Hatchery. The final portion of the ride follows the railroad right of way back to the start.
