Itinerary description
A mule road hugging the contours of the Galis mountain ridge, above 8000 feet from sea level the trail follows an isolated pristine part of the lower Himalayan alpine forest. The trail and several Dak Bungalows were built in the late Nineteenth Century by the British Colonists, to inspect the woods, patrol the mountain passes and as summer retreat. This is the remotest bit of the road, dagri banglaw is the loneliest and almost delipidated of several banglaws every 15-16 miles on the road. Being nearest to Islamabad this is definitely the must do trail on a weekend.
