Itinerary description

Made a loop. Went approx 14 miles to swamp creek turn off from Stanley. Drove in a little ways and parked. Road just a little up the road to the trail head to start the ride.
We should have done like a previous time by dropping a car at trap creek turn off 12 miles out of Stanley, then continuing on with trailer and horses to swamp creek turn off. Then you can do the loop and end by coming down Trap creek and leave one person with horses and two people go in car to get the horse trailer and come back and load horses at Trap creek. Otherwise, you have to ride the road back 2.3 miles to where the trailer is at Swamp Creek turnoff. We had to stay away from road this time because of Sam (dog), so we had to ride through meadows, downed trees, up hills, and over creeks to be 1/4 m-1/3 mile from road. Cheryl needs to leash dog next time. It took a lot more time and work to not ride along the highway back.
