Itinerary description
At sunrise it was still a bit cloudy and I thought the sunglasses were the wrong choice. After an hour into the tour it cleared. The summer seems to end - at least that’s what the wild geese say. They started tracking south. I passed the seabird sanctuary Hidlekjeøya. At the end of the month the season is over and one can land on the island again. Further North lies the small island Prestholmen. Nice rock formations and a few trees. Here I turned East towards the northern tip of Sør Hidle. At this location Flor & Fjære is located - a wordplay flowers and low tide instead of high (flo) and low tide. A large restaurant feeds the visitors before or after they walked through the flower park. In protected areas palm trees and lemons grow.
I rounded Sør Hidle and crossed 3km open fjord back to Egrøy. By the time the water became a mirror - no wind.
