Itinerary description

The first thing I have to say is that Sálvora and Vionta belong to the National Park of the Atlantic Islands. A special permit is needed to be able to navigate and anchor in the islands, specifically in the one of Sálvora, because in the one of Vionta it is prohibited. What happens is that nobody informed me. The permit is requested online and sent quickly.
And now the chronicle of the route:
Sunday 23 April 2017, clear day, with splendid sunshine and good sea views in windgurú. Little wind, little waves and no sea in the background. They do not always work.
At 10 he was already in Aguiño. I parked the car next to the beach, to be able to unload the kayak and drag it towards the sea. There was low tide and a small breeze was running. I left the Aguiño beach, from the Carreira inlet, on the inside of what they call the bar. This is just an extension of the Centoleira point where they have taken a short walk with two bridges, taking advantage of the rocks that already existed and placing protection stones. I passed something away from O Carreiro, As Centoleiras, O Con das Vieiras and O Con de Agosto, all names of impressive rocks that come out of the water.
There he did not have all of them with me, because contrary to the forecasts, the sea was chopped up, with a lot of small waves that made walking very difficult. So much so that the idea was to reach the island of Vionta and decide there if it continued to Sálvora and turned around.
I disembarked, not without some difficulty, on one of the beaches on the island of Vionta. I thought it was a smaller island and that climbing the sand that was seen, the island would end and would have a prespective of Sálvora. But it is not like that, the island has a route and a good perimeter. So, without knowing that it was forbidden, I went around the island accompanied at all times by the cries and angry flights of the seagulls.
I checked that Sálvora's inner passage was calm and I decided to continue. I passed between the islets around the island, Cornella, Chapeau, Herbosa and Gaivoteira and landed on the beach two Bois de Sálvora. It is a white sand beach, paradisiacal.
There rest a little, I oriented myself with the ipad and continued, and coasting towards the beach of Warehouse, where the dock is. Before disembarking, I admired the sculpture of the Sirena de Sálvora, a sculpture that was erected to perpetuate the nobility of its previous owner. Once tied the kayak, just in case, I went to receive Pablo, the guard of the national park. I gave him the authorization and he took me to Pazo de Goyanes to show me inside. It is built on the warehouse of the salting factory that was there in the past. There is also a small chapel built on the old fishermen's tavern.
After finishing this brief visit, he informed me of what could be seen on the island and I headed there. First I went to see the lighthouse built in 1921, the year in which the shipwreck of the Santa Isabel steamer marked the beginning of its flash. The road is perfectly signposted and is short, just over 1 kilometer. It is located on the other side of the island and is inhabited by the farera. It highlights the capricious rock formations that are along the route.
Once visited the lighthouse, return along the same road, until the crossroads where we will take the track that leads to the Village of Salvora. Along the way we will find a miraculous fountain that I do not know if it will restore our health, what if it restored my life to the freshness of the water. We arrived at the Village, abandoned since the end of the 70s, where almost all the houses are standing, in the absence of their roofs. There is a project to reform them, hopefully it will be carried out. There is even an Ebro tractor of a lifetime. If I get to enter the Kayak I'll take it.
After touring these two places on the island, which are the only ones that can be visited, since the rest is protected, I took the kayak and went along the coast to land on the beach north of Sálvora, Lagos beach. From there I crossed the channel, disembarking in another beach of Vionta and already I returned to the starting point, in this case stuck to the bar.
Great day of kayaking, hiking, enjoying the sun and the heat.
