Itinerary description

Day 2 Atchafalaya basin to Wax Lake. Another great day under optimum conditions. Five miles of open water across Atchafalaya Bay will get and keep your attention. Pay attention to the weather, even under good conditions it can get a bit rough. Entry into the Wax Lake delta was a bit aggravating as we got hung-up in the mud flats in places, this is all new ground! The trip up New Pass was into the wind as well as the current.
