Itinerary description
Easy descent from Penacova to the river beach near Coimbra. Only two very easy (almost unnoticeable) rapids. Although most of the mountains are covered by Australian Eucalyptus (part of them burned in 2017), some remnant vegetation can be seen along the shores, and plenty of birds! During weekend mornings expect groups of kayaks. Three friends actually swam the whole route, but be advised to wear some kind of water shoes and at least a light neoprene, since water is not too warm and many places are too shallow for swimming (but OK for kayaking).
