Itinerary description
A pleasant weekend paddle camping at Lime Pocket campsite. Requires a car shuffle which takes about 90 mins. We launched from the boat ramp on the mainland side of the Bribie Is bridge and finished at the North end of the Esplanade at Golden Beach. Planing needs to take into account the tide which runs in from each end of the Passage. We caught the in-going tide at 1100 on the first day and then had an outgoing tide until 1200 the next day. Get tide times from http://tides.willyweather.com.au/ search for 'Bellara' for the Southern end and 'Golden Beach' for the Northern end. Lime pocket has 6 campsites, We thought 1 & 2 to be the best, being the most Northerly and having best views of the Glasshouse Mountains and sunset. Lime Pocket is not available during very high tides.
