A nice boat ride through the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. It seems that you were in full amazon. There are many Canals, the Danube River opens into three branches at its mouth in the Black Sea. The one to the north is Chilia, which borders Ukraine. The one in the center Sulina and the one to the south Sfântu Gheorghe
The route starts from the Ovidiu Guesthouse, a nice place where you can stay to rest, with its small pool where you can cool off in the afternoon. They organize tours of the Danube Delta. On this occasion, we are going to tour part of the Biosphere Reserve in a small boat, previously we did another route visiting the Danube Delta Letea Forest Biosphere Reserve .
We enter the interior of this network of channels. There are many birds that delight any lover of them. The one we most wish we could see, were the Pelicans. They are elusive and you have to go slowly so as not to scare them.
The aquatic plants are everywhere, the Water Lilies show us their beautiful flowers.
We approach a small Orthodox church. The stop is curious, there is no pier, so you have to go ashore to visit it.
Once we have made a short stop and visited the place, we continue our walk through the Delta. We are going to approach a small town called Mila 23, where an athlete named Iván Patzaichin was born, winner of several Gold medals in the Olympics in the Kayak modality. A little walk, to have a snack and to the ship again. We see the herds of cattle by the river.
And to end such a beautiful day, he gives us a beautiful sunset, in which you do not stop photographing. It is impossible to collect such beautiful sensations.
Transport : We leave from Ovidiu Guesthouse in a small boat, the guesthouse organizes the excursions.
Recommended season : Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
