Itinerary description
The community of Barra de Parismina can only be reached via a flight or a boat ride. No roads or bridges connect the island to the mainland. Swimming is prohibited by environmental protection policies, and dangerous due to the wildlife.
Regular flights to Barra de Parismina do not exist. There is not even a local tower for air traffic control. Transportation to the island by air is typically coordinated as part of a fishing vacation package at Río Parismina Lodge. Incorporating this into conduct of El Camino de Costa Rica is possible, but expensive.
A ferry passes between Barra de Parismina and the nearest dock on the mainland at multiple times throughout the day. The ride traces a twisting canal, and should only take 15 minutes at the most.

Hello Evan, In your book you wrote: a tent would be very handy. Where can you use the tent on the trails?
I don't see many camp ground. Hope you can explain this.
Thanks
