3 - Route Duero downstream (Carrascal and its archeology):

Itinerary description
- Leave the Plaza Mayor down the Calle Balborraz until you reach the Duero river. Then, turn right and look for the stone bridge and cross it. Continue to the right until you reach a roundabout. For the second exit, Calle Fermoselle, continue until you find another roundabout, continue straight and at 200 m follow the detour to the right, still on Calle Fermollese, follow for about 1 km until a warehouse. Either before or after the warehouse turn left and do not leave the path. At about 2500m and to the right, find in some unploughed land La Bolera (1) archaeological site. Then go further 500m, find and cross the Zape stream, a little ahead and on the right at about 200m, find El Soto (2) archaeological site on the slope of the col. 6.5 km
- Back on the path, continue to Carrascal (3) and throughout the streets seek and enjoy its spectacular viewpoint. On leaving the viewpoint, a little on the right you will find a path between houses that leaves the viewpoint behind and leads to a sports court which will be on your left. Continue to the end. Between the villas fenced with hedges and the cultivated lands, along with the stream of Castro, enjoy the archaeological site of El Castro (4). 8.8 km
- Return and go to Zamora by the road from Carrascal. A few meters later, see a property in colors, blue, red and yellow. Opposite and occupying part of two farms, is the archaeological site of La Vega (5). At about 700m there is a significant grove to the left, where the Palomar de Arroyos (6) is located. Continue to enter Zamora and when the road descends, on the right a wide concrete road comes out. To the right of the road, on the top, is the archaeological site of El Teso del Castro (7). Then, enter the city by boat, cycling either by the bridge of Los Poetas, by the emblematic Puente de Piedra or even further by the Puente de Hierro, which starts from the Aceñas de Pinilla. Km 15.
