Itinerary description
Alto Tajo y Serranía de Cuenca - etapa 4.
Stage 4 of 5, visiting some of the best landscapes of the Southern Iberian Chain.
This day the route discovers Serrania de Cuenca nature park.
I did not started well, as between Fuertescusa and Poyatos I missed the track I wanted to follow, therefore I followed the main asphalt road that crosses the park between Poyatos and Las Majadas. Still, the good thing on a weekday of June is that any road is deserted like if you were following a remote forest track.
After las Majadas I followed a track that follows a nice high plateau. I made a diversion to a panoramic view over 'El Hosquillo' but I think it is not worth the effort (on the first hot day of my trip). I had to bike the main road between Huelamo and Tragacete, because that is the village of I found accommodation and food, in hotel El Gamo.
