Itinerary description
Long downhill from Nieves following Tarifa river bed to Aspe along the processional route. Through Aspe continuing along the gravel river path until the Tarifa meets the Vinalopo. Short Asphalt section below the railway bridge to look at the castle and then back on the north river bank past the restored aquaducts to the crossing point... quick trip to see tunnel and viewpoint and then down to the Pantano. To cross to the other side there are some technical climbs and one area where the rock cutting is too narrow for the bike, so some carrying and pushing required. This is the only difficult section. The remainder is following the river through orange groves (prohibited access!) and back to Aspe via Santa Elena to mix it up a bit. Really enjoyable (if long) ride.
