Zwift - Tour Of Tewit Well in Yorkshire

BTT ROUTE: "TEWIT WELL CIRCUIT" IN YORKSHIRE [04/04/2024]

GENERALITIES
- Today we had a little while to train, we did a roller race on our All Terrain Bike (MTB), safe from the cold and the gusts of wind.
- We chose the YorkShire Zwift World , which has six circuits and within it, the so-called TEWIT WELL CIRCUIT in YORKSHIRE, designed for a UCI (International Cycling Union) cycling competition in 2019.
- Today's training has been very difficult, it made us break a sweat with little time running, raise our heart rate, our watts, ... as can be seen below in the section Some Data from Today's Route
TEWIT WELL CIRCUIT
- Route implemented in the YorksHire Zwift World for a competition organized in 2019 by the UCI (International Cycling Union), well worked, with well-achieved effects.
- This world has six routes, of which today we traveled the sixth of them.
- It is a circuit 10.91 km long and with an elevation of 203 m,
- It combines several quite steep climbs, with sections of more than 20%, in which you have to have good legs to be able to overcome them, and above all have reflexes and anticipate moving the sprockets and chainring, so as not to get stuck on the slopes.
- The circuit can also be done in reverse, the desired distance, and combined with other routes through the former county of York .
- Difficulty level: low, 3 out of 5.

TEWIT WELL
- It is the name of a well of thermal waters (iron salts) discovered in 1571 in Harrogate, in the North of Yorkshire County (England).
- Its discoverer was William Slingsby, who promoted the well as a "Spa" among friends from the Netherlands: businessmen, nobility, bourgeoisie, ...
- It is included in the National Heritage List of England, as a protected building.

HISTORIC COUNTY YORKSHIRE
- Located in the North of England, one of the largest in the United Kingdom.
- Composite name of York and shire (County of York),
- It is a fairly large county (24,000 km2) and with 5 million inhabitants who are called yorkshireman or yorkshirewoman as a demonym.
- Their ham, York ham, and Yorkshire Terrier dogs are famous. Also notable are its three National Parks, enchanted castles, an abbey and a World Heritage garden, as well as a Gothic cathedral with the largest stained glass windows in the world...
- Today it no longer has a legal or administrative existence, but they preserve their ancient customs, such as the symbol of the county: a white rose typical of the House of York.
