Itinerary description

Those who still believe that a high mountain area (e.g. sierra de Madrid) is the only suitable place for some real MTB experience, should try this route. The first part from Majadahonda to Río Guadarrama is an easy warm-up (but passing the narrow bridge along some huge pipelines of Canal Isabel 2 is fun though - see waypoint "Tubería de agua del CY2"), but the trail along that river till the bridge of the M-503 is a real challenge. Technically difficult with many steep climbs and descents and including an authentic crossing of a small river (see waypoint "Cruce de Arroyo del Plantio"). For me it was impossible to stay on my bike all the way!
The part of the trail at the south of the M-503 (i.e. the area of Palacio de Romanillos) is easier but still with some nice, steep climbs and descents.
