Itinerary description
Start at the Rafting Station (302m asl.) - only some (1-2) kms on good road - then till Citorek (567m asl.) demanding, very bumpy tour on rough stone roads (some parts mud!) over 2 passes (870m and 755m asl) you are certainly pushing or dragging your bike most of the up-hill parts!!! ; MTB with suspension is very helpful and it's good to have broad tires with a lateral profile for a better grip on the spit stones.... The scenery is great: pictures Sunda-villages surrounded by lush paddy fields and trad. barns (Sunda: lieuit); some knowledge of basic Sunda is helpful. In Citorek (Desa Kasepuhan) we were kindly received by the mayor (Kepala Desa).

Yes, the road to Citorek is good, it's just bad in itself Citorek. And, the more seedy Citorek alone and worrying because hazardous waste from the rest of the gold refining.
