Itinerary description

I did this route in August 2014. Departure from Cubas de la Sagra, easy ride over Torrejon de la Calzada (known locally as Torrejoncillo), then over the road couple kms through next town called Torrejon de Velasco, then out of Torrejon de Velasco toward a hill few kms beyond which is called "El Cerro de los Batallones" (would translate into Hill of the Batalions).... this hill is quite famous given palenthology relevant findings and all in all is a really nice hill to ride on, half height, the small tracks take you up and down a bit and when reaching tops you get a splendid view over the "Comarca de la Sagra".... if in the afternoon this view faces sun set and you d have on the north extreme the ugliest formation of Parla... but from there going south with your eyes you get a flat green/dry mix of agriculture down to Illescas and further toward Toledo.
After the Cerro of the Batalions the track breaks toward Yeles, passes by the Cement Mill there... and crosses the A-42 motorway over a handy bridge that takes you right into Casarrubuelos then up back to Cubas. Some 36 kms very flat and very easy for anyone who rides often. Those who only take the bike once a year.... could get bit long on the kms going up from Yeles to Casarrubuelos.. nothing horrible. Enjoy it.
