Cycling around Kýiv - Mižričynśký Landscape Park-2

A one-day trip from Zavoryči (Заворичі) railway station to Černihiv along the Desna river and through the marshy forests of Mižričynśký Landscape Park (Міжрічинський РЛП).
The first 45 km is quite a relaxing ride to the ancient town Oster - mainly along the motorways, but the dirt roads between the villages Ozerne, Bulaxiv and Ljubečanyniv are also quite comfortable .
Oster is situated on a hilly cape between the rivers Oster and Desna and is definitely worth visiting. Despite its old age, the town looks well-kept, has clean streets and many old buildings, at least 3 parks and an abandoned pier. Here is the closest place to Kýiv where you can cross the Desna - that is 60 km upstream from the mouth.
So on the right bank there starts a large natural reserve Mižričynśký Landscape Park - first it covers the flooded meadows and lakes of the Desna, and then there starts a forested marshland. Without a road sign, there will be soon a turn in to the woods to the lake Svjate - a large inaccessible bog in the pine forest.
This forest track soon goes out on a military concrete road leading northward - this is the shortest way to the next huge marsh called Bondarivśke. Next to it in Otroxy (Отрохи) village is the entrance point to the landscape park with several short 'eco tracks' through the marsh and wood, wooden terraces-viewpoints on the bank of the swamp and a museum - a very popular place indeed.
From Otroxy the motorway goes about 60 km to Černihiv - that could be an easy ride, but the road is in such a poor condition that your attentiveness will hardly relax there. Yet the surrounding landscapes are very nice: meadows take turns with forests, behind which it is sometimes possible to catch a glimpse on the deep Desna valley down the hill.
Before entering the city, next to the highway there will be another popular place for picnics - Pavlivśký waterfall on the Bilous river.
