Enduro Pegli

Il tracciato si sviluppa ad anello, con partenza ed arrivo alla Vetta di Pegli e si sviluppa intorno alla bellezza dei sentieri immersi nella macchia mediterranea con suggestivi scorci sul mare, circondati dalle cime dell’Alta via dei Monti Liguri.
Si inizia con un single track, si continua su strada bianca (Segnavia E1) e, dopo un breve tratto di portage, giunti nei pressi di Pian delle Monache, si segue il sentiero che sale sulla destra. Al termine della salita si prende la deviazione a destra: qui ha inizio la discesa, molto veloce e divertente, arricchita da passaggi tecnici su roccia che richiedono una guida attenta e precisa. Giunti al bivio proseguire lungo la traccia a sinistra giungendo ad uno slargo dove sorge una vecchia abitazione diroccata; qui la traccia prosegue molto più scorrevole fino ad incrociare alcuni passaggi su roccia da affrontare con attenzione. Subito dopo, un bellissimo tratto caratterizzato da uno stretto canyon in cui occorre fare attenzione al manubrio, rende il sentiero scorrevole e, oltrepassato un tornante e un bivio mantenendosi sempre a sinistra, ci accompagna all’interno della suggestiva cornice di Villa Doria (http://www.museidigenova.it/spip.php?rubrique35) sede del Museo Navale di Pegli. Proseguendo, si ritorna al punto di partenza.

Description:
The route consists of a loop with start and end points in Vetta di Peglio and it offers breathtaking views of the sea and of the peaks reached by the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri track together with beautiful trails immersed in Mediterranean scrub.
The start of the route is on single-track; continue on gravel road (signposted E1) and, after a short portage, reaching Pian delle Monache, follow the trail that heads uphill to the right. At the end of the climb take the turn to the right: this is the start of the descent, very fast and exciting, with rock-strewn sections that require focus and precise riding skills. At the junction, continue along the trail to your left that takes you to a wide open space with an old house in ruin: from there the trail flows much better until you come to a few rocky passages to be approached with care. In no time you reach an incredible section; pay attention to the width of your handlebar when you pass throughout the tight gully! The trail offers some flow and after a switchback it takes you to a junction, where you keep left. The route soon reaches the impressive settings of Villa Doria (http://www.museidigenova.it/spip.php?rubrique35), house of the Naval Museum of Pegli. Keep going and you will soon be back to the starting point.
