Itinerary description
Firstly, a lo-o-o-ong warm up, mixing and matching steep uphills and varied soft downhills in the ancient beloved ‘secano’ lands of Gójar such as La Zapatera, Portachuelos Alto y Bajo, Cerro Bufón, Barranco Porlid, Barranco Hondo, and Capazorras (Advice: beware of nasty dogs in some -avoidable- sections claimed to be ‘private roads’ -?!- The animals are beyond wire fences in certain properties, but they can still be frightening);
Secondly, getting even a bit more altitude in order to…;
Finally, the thrilling Cumbres Verdes DH singletrack (!!!). Advice: this last section must be run by foot beside your bike, since bicycles are not allowed to run singletracks in the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada (this is the twisted ‘to protect: close & forbid’ eco-policy that the government make us suffer).
