Itinerary description

Passing an important Chinese GeoPark and Botanical Garden (admission fees). Also view some of the rock formations along the coastline at low tide. There is a narrow walking trail along the cliff edges and it is worthwhile to get off the bike and have a look here and there. The route also passes an unmodernised traditional fishing town . There appears to be a scheduled ferry service to offshore islands from there (needs verification).

Waypoints

Boardwalk and viewing platform.

At low tide. This location is a popular wedding stop. A hiking trail extends to the East along the shoreline.

Beach

Photo shows typical road conditions in the area. This track is also suitable for road bikes.

Dalian Coastal GeoPark

This part of the GeoPark is free access. Shoreline walking paths; "The Rose Stone" rock formation. Large spiders abundant in late Sept, mosquitoes too.
