Fallinas (Restaurant Sausa-Terradelles-Sant Marçal Quarantelles-Galliners-Parets d'Empordá-Bascara-Vilaür-Camallera-Rest.Saus

Esta es una serie de rutas que intentará pasar y fotografiar lo más cerca posible todas las edificaciones tanto militares como privadas que son consideradas torres de defensa y que forman una parte importante de la historia de nuestro patrimonio.

Atalaya o torre de vigilancia es un tipo de fortificación utilizada en muchas partes del mundo. Difiere de otros tipos de torre en que su uso primario es militar; y entre las torres militares o defensivas se distingue en que por lo general es una estructura aislada. Su objetivo principal es proporcionar un lugar alto y seguro desde el cual poder realizar la vigilancia y hacer observaciones militares. En algunos casos, torres de uso no militar, como las religiosas, pueden ser utilizadas como atalayas. Al principio se construyeron cerca de la costa para controlar a los piratas y cuando los avistaban encendían hogueras para avisar a los vecinos más cercanos. Más tarde incluso fue obligatorio construirlas en las casas y si no se podía, se ubicaba en el centro de un conjunto de Masías una sola torre para protegerlas a todas.

Es divertido comprobar que se pueden ver casi todas las edificaciones ya que sobresalen por encima de todas las vallas de la mayoría de fincas particulares donde se ubican, y es una excusa para organizar una agradable ruta ciclo-turística.

Y otra cosa estoy seguro, y es que si no fuera por ir a visitar las torres seguramente no hubiéramos pasado nunca por los caminos en las que se encuentran.

La Torre Quarentella se encuentra a las afueras de Sant Marçal y está muy bien conservada y habitada.

Desde el Mas Pagés Golf hasta Sant Marçal hay caminos forestales pero no se puede pasar por ellos, o al menos nosotros no los hemos encontrado, ya que la mayor parte de esta zona esta vallada y cerrada al paso.

Ruta plácida y tranquila hasta llegar a la altura de la riera de Llampaies, donde nos ha resultado difícil pasar por la intensa vegetación que hay en esta época del año, y también salir de la zona ya que no se distinguía el sendero.

Pasó lo mismo en el tramo que une Parets con Bàscara, también resultó difícil de pasar por el mismo motivo.

Desde Vilaür hasta Camallera hemos dado un rodeo que no estaba previsto y hemos tenido que circular por las carreteras asfaltadas que unen ambos pueblos, ya que no encontramos restaurante y el del pueblo de Vilaür que se llama Ü, no han querido atendernos, creo que no les gusta mucho recibir la visita de ciclistas. Lo digo por si alguien se encuentra en esta zona y puede ocurrirle como nosotros que se quede sin comer. Por suerte el restaurante de Saus que hay en la gasolinera está abierto hasta más tarde de las cuatro y nos atendieron muy amablemente.

La Torre Quarentella es troba als afores de Sant Marçal i està molt ben conservada i habitada.

Des del Mas Pagès Golf fins a Sant Marçal hi ha camins forestals però no es pot passar per ells, o almenys nosaltres no els hem trobat, ja que la major part d'aquesta zona està tancada i tancada al pas.

Des Vilaür fins Camallera hem donat una volta que no estava previst i hem hagut de circular per les carreteres asfaltades que uneixen els dos pobles, ja que no trobem restaurant i el del poble de Vilaür que es diu Ü, no han volgut atendre'ns, crec que no els agrada molt rebre la visita de ciclistes. Ho dic per si algú es troba en aquesta zona i pot ocórrer-com nosaltres que es quedi sense menjar. Per sort el restaurant de Saus que hi ha a la gasolinera està obert fins més tard de les quatre i ens van atendre molt amablement.
