Itinerary description
Great family ride with an uphill at the beginning and a steep downhill to the bridge which kids may struggle with or walk up on the return trip. The bridge is a great picnic or snack break location and you could spend some time here climbing up the bridge and exploring.
Add 2 miles each way if biking from centro to the trail head.
The only tricky part is at the beginning. Cross over all of the train tracks and turn right into the dirt path keeping the last railroad track on your right. If there are train cars parked there, it can be a tight squeeze. It opens up, so power on.
This is good for leisure bikers wanting to explore the country side or families. Not for little beginner riders....take little ones on a bike seat or take older kids. Today’s trip was with two adults, and 14, 12, and 11 year olds.

Viejo Puente de San Rafael
This is a great spot for a picnic or snack. Hang out by the river or climb up to the top of the bridge where trees and plants have taken over the ruins.
