Itinerary description
Description: The route from Volos (Magnisia) to Mt. Sarakinos.
Road: Paved with cement up to a point. Gravel after that.
Time: 1h 20m
Bike Type: Mountain
Notes: The route is fairly short but it's no joke. A light mountain bike with at least 24 gears is advised. The unpaved part of the route mostly consists of coarse gravel which along with the steep inclination will make it hard not to put your foot down even once. Good stamina is needed too. It gets easier towards the end. Try it only if you're experienced otherwise you'll end up pushing the bike with your hands like I did. :-) Will definitely try again at some point.
