Itinerary description
Route through the New Hollandic Waterline.
Inspired by the routes "Utrecht Forts Cycle Route" & "Lage Vuursche Royal Cycle Route" from www.holland-cycling.com.
The route runs mainly through the fietspad network and visits many of the forts around Utrecht. The way back runs through the forests around Soest and Baarn first, and the Eemnes grasslands later on. That last bit is often windy and some of the gates that gives access to the fields are sometimes closed, making it necessary to pass the bike over the steps made for pedestrian. It is also necessary (and fun!) to cross a channel with a "self-service" ferry.
Other than these, the route presents no complications at all.

mooie afwisselende route, echter enkele gedeeltes tussen Bilthoven en Soest zijn verboden voor fietsers (ook voor mountenbikes) en dit gedeelte dus ook een alternatief moeten vinden.
