Itinerary description
Fantastic trip with two of my mates. Started on the 17th at 11 am and came to Hveravellir around 8 pm. Went to the natural hot tub and got great soup for dinner cooked by the ranger in Hveravellir. Started around 9 am the morning after and came to the bridge over river Blanda in north of Iceland around 5 pm on the second day. Total cycling time around 10hours with ave. speed 17,2 km/hr. Day 1 ave. speed was around 14 km/hr and around 20km/hr the second day. 80-90 km each day, total of 165km, with max speed around 60km/hrs. Excellent weather and the road was in pretty good condition bearing in mind it´s a highland road only open in the summer.
