Itinerary description
Enduro ride with real enduro downhill trails.
The ride begins from the free parking space at Am Kirchberg in Kreuth. The first 6km is a nice warming up before the gentle uphill over a schotterweg begins. At 10km and an altitude of 1037m is a beautiful Einkehrmöglichkeit. We had a soup a drink and a little rest. After half an hour we continued ouer way up the mountain. The climb gets a bit steeper now and continues another 8km on a forest road up to the Alm at 1850m. From here we need to carry the bike the last bit up towards the entry of the trail. We didn't climbed up to the summit this time because weather was changing. The first part of the Kratzer upper trail is very difficult over steep rocky sections and with technical switchbacks. Difficult to stay on the bike for the whole way espacially with hikers on the path as well. The secound part of the Kratzer upper if you past the forest road is a more natural forest trail with some technical switchbacks, but nothing to dangerous. After passing a little farm at the in between Alm the secound trail begins Kratzer Lower. A very nice flowy forest trails with some roots etc. Nice easy finish for a beautiful day out. Not a ride for rainy days or after multiple rainy days.
