Itinerary description
Two Rio’s
Along the Rio de los Miel I wear long sleeves due to the La procesionaria del pino caterpillar nests along the route. The route is a 10 km gradual climb into the mountains with stunning views. At the top is an off-road downhill trail until you hit a road, then a left turn heading for peña escrita and a bit more climbing. The route then goes downhill all the way to Almuñécar along the road alongside Rio Seco, with small farms, great countryside, views and fast flowy twisty roads. The final climb out of Almeñucar is rewarded with a long fast downhill back to La Herradura.
