The road from Los Martinez to Agua Amarga is metalled. There are 4 sections where you have to push or haul the bike up and 1 where you have to get off the bike and control the descent (down to San Pedro). Worth it for the views. This route is perhaps best done in reverse. In that case only one major haul up (from San Pedro) and 4 very technical sections, which are fun on a 29er with full suss.
