Itinerary description
One of the popular Mountain Bike trails here in Malaga. It is 25km, roundtrip, and will take you to Parque Natural Montes de Malaga on asphalt road and off road parts.
We begin at Plaza de la Marina in the heart of the city. Leave the Plaza to the left, cross the main road (Alameda Principal) and take the bicycle path to El Corte Ingles. The path will turn right. Just follow and after some time you will arrive at La Rosaleda football stadium; maybe a god first stop…. Continue on the bicycle path, cross the bridge and turn left; all the time on the path. When it ends (close to the sports center) go straight on. Turn right in the first roundabout and left in the second. If you now go straight on again you will cross the highway (on bridge). Next you will arrive at a crossing. If you turn left it will take you to the dam or the Botanical Garden. But for our tour turn right. This street will take you to the entrance of the Park Montes and the off road part begins. Follow the path. It is always going up (not very steep, just moderate climbing); there is just on way. Keep rolling. After 7 or 8 km you will reach the exit of the park and arrive at asphalt road M345. From here you have a nice panorama view… When you are ready to continue go down the road and you will come back to Malaga city. Now follow the signs “Centro”.
Enjoy the trip. It is very good for just getting out for some time.
