Itinerary description

An easy ride through some beautiful rice fields in Bali. 70% or more of this ride is on concrete or tarmac (albeit broken or cracked), the remaining 30% on grass or mud path, some gravel. Gentle uphill on the way out, cruising downhill most of the way back.
We went the day after a lot of rain so in places the grass trail was muddy and slippery, more fun but harder for the beginner. At one point the path was blocked by farming activity and we bypassed on the road. Otherwise a really nice way to spend a couple of hours in Bali. Friendly locals, interesting bird life and some great views of the mountains.
The best part of this route is that there are at least two places where you can short cut on to the return loop if its all too much and a variety of ways you can extend it if its not challenging enough.
Highly recommended as an intro to Mountain Biking in Bali.
