Itinerary description
Much more of a hiking trail, but for those up to the challenge, it makes an excellent grinder of a mountain bike climb. This is part hike-a-bike for all but the strongest and skilled riders. Steep, rocky and rooty with plentiful switchbacks. Fantastic birds-eye views of Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille and the Cabinet Mountains beyond. I do this on my lunch hour every so often, as the trailhead is right next to town.
