Itinerary description
After a few months of break I have returned to do another MTB event from the Epic GPS series. The place I already knew, as well as it will be awesome.
Unfortunatelly I wasn't counting with the heatwave restrictions in Portugal. Since it was above 30 ºC during the last week, it was a high alert for wildfires. For this reason no events are alowed to be organized in remote places.
So, just before the day of the event, I have recieved an e-mail from the organizers, that there were some changes in the track. The 80 km route which I pretended to do, was completaly cancelled. What a pity...
Also the 60km route suffered some modifications. But besides of this, I still enjoyed this ride, recommend to everyone. It is not too difficult, the less experienced MTB riders can do it as well.
My secret tip is at the km 58, there is a beautiful little bay of the Minho River. Of course I couldn't resist, so I had to go for a quick swimm :)
