Itinerary description
Rented a hardtail at La Bicicleta in San Sebastián. Started below the Funikularra. You have to pay €2,50 at the top, maybe because of high season (September though). First 25% is on the road, then you enter Routa del Santiago, and it becomes tough, very tough. In times seems impossible, with very slippery rocks and mud pools, even big trees over the path. Had to step off the bike quite some time (though I am no pro, but sure no beginner. The sights are amazing (see photo's). The downhilling at +-70% is tough as well, but made it down in one run. Lot of big rocks and quite steep. The last 20% down on the road is the prize after a steep climb up the Igeldo again.
