Itinerary description
This route is really special. We started at Arcalis in Andorra to cut down the time a little, but you could start in Ordino and ride up the route de ferro if you wanted to make it longer and more difficult.
You ride up to the old tunnel below Port del rat in Arcalis, then you put you bike on your back and walk up about 200 meters (it took us 20 mins). It's steep and would be hard if you're not fit.
Passing through Port del rat, you have to mostly walk down the first 200 meters, then you can ride down, either on single track or down the road. We did a bit of both.
Past the lake, the country changes completely and you find yourself following single track by the river. It's really spectacular.
Once you cross the valley you trails become more technical and there is a lot of up and down traversing around the mountain. It's fun, but make sure you're fit!
My batteries ran out before Tarascon, but we rode right through to the town and drove back to Andorra.
