Itinerary description
This track is very diversified when it comes to trails and landscapes. The views are superb and so is the flora, ranging from shallow mountain bush with delightful wild flowers to some small mixed woods. I saw crows, eagles, many small birds, and also a few small lizards. You also see cows roaming freely and a heard of goats here and there. The villages, though architectonic very mischaracterized, had beautiful examples of old granite constructions. Some of them had amazing terraces still in use for agricultural purposes.
I labelled this track difficult especially because there is one descent starting circa km 16 and one ascent starting circa km 25, which I had to hike instead of riding. All in all, I guess I did circa 3,5 km on foot. Those were the kind of trails where you need to have a trail MTB, be top fit and experienced. Otherwise, my XC MTB did everything impeccably.
There is very low traffic which is a good thing. I would advise against doing this trail if it has been raining a lot.
I think this track would better be done CW, in other words, in the opposite direction, due to the final very long descent. But of course, you will be willing to bargain the initial difficult ascent.
