Moshi, the beginning of our fantastic journey around the mountains KLIMANJARO AND MERU, is the capital of the region at 800mts altitude, which we arrived by bus from the capital Dar es Salaam. We stayed in (http://zurihomestay.com/ ) highly recommended house, optimal quality / price ratio. We visit the market of the city (very interesting) and in the morning we take the T2 road that will take us through Mbuyuni to Himo from where a road starts that goes steep little by little until the town of Marangu, end of our first stage. This town normally starts all expeditions to Klimanjaro. It is the heart of the Chagga ethnic group and an area very rich in banana and coffee plantations. The accommodations, due to tourism, are quite more expensive than in Moshi. We stayed in the hotel Babylon lodge (https://babylonlodge.com/)
