Amazing route. Do you think that the tracklog is detailed enough to repeat it safely (486 coords for 148 miles) or perhaps better to find additional sources or lap by lap tracklogs? Any reference would be appreciated. I'm in the process to gather info for next summer.

    Many thanks

    Hi Anderson,

this is just a reduced version of a gps-track I bought on the website http://www.bike-gps.com/

I was paying about 10 Euros for the detailed track-data. It worked great.

    Greetings, eSHa

Hi eSHA, i am thinking about doing the transalp. Did you book hostels in advance? or it is possible to find cheap hostels at the moment of arrival? How do they cost in average?

    Hi mendaucas,

we had booked hostels for seven nights in advance for about 30 to 50 Euro per person per night. On our way we realized that two of the hostels were near our route but some hundret meters down the mountain (and up the next morning ;-)

So in two times we took another hostel just at the arrival in a nice little town - it was no problem.

    Greetings and have fun

    Thanks eSHa,

So you think there is no need to book in advance, we should be able to find something on the way?
