Tubi di San Lorenzo

I Tubi di San Lorenzo è uno dei sentieri da enduro più belli e famosi di Sanremo. Questo trail inizia dalla curva del Marzocco e per il 90% lo si percorre stando sulla cresta della montagna. Il tratto iniziale si sviluppa in un tecnico e guidato piano che dopo qualche minuto ci immette nella discesa, tecnica, con passaggi su roccia e curve piuttosto impegnative. Al termine di questo tratto si incrocia la tagliafuoco che porta ad Ospedaletti, mantenere la sinistra addentrandoci in un'entrata piuttosto ripida che ci accompagnerà lungo un tratto molto veloce e stretto, per poi cambiare completamente ed aprirsi nella famosa sezione dei gradoni, un punto molto tecnico adatto solo a biker esperti. Il sentiero prosegue con passaggi su roccia fissa e ci accompagna ad una curva molto sabbiosa sulla destra: andando dritti e girando a sinistra, si prosegue lungo l'alternativa ai Tubi, il Tubino, un tratto di sola discesa che ci riporterà sulla strada principale; se dalla curva sabbiosa si decide di continuare a percorrere il sentiero sulla destra, troveremo una sezione con curve strette e pedalata lunga circa 300 m, terminata la quale inizierà la parte più divertente del tracciato, caratterizzato da appoggi e divertenti salti che accompagnano fino a Coldirodi, punto d'arrivo del trail.

Tubi di San Lorenzo is one of the most exciting and famous enduro trails in the Sanremo area. The trail begins on Curva del Marzocco and 90% of it runs along the ridge of the mountain. The initial section is flat but technical and requires good handling skills. A few minutes later on, the trail heads downhill, with technical passages on rocks and rather challenging corners. At the end of this section the trail crosses the fire-break track that goes to Ospedaletti: keep to the left into a somewhat steep drop that is followed by a very fast and tight section. After that, the trail changes completely, it becomes wider and enters the famous section on rocky steps, with technical passages only for experienced riders. The trail continues with passages on rock-slabs and takes you to a right corner with a loose sandy surface: if you go straight and then left, you continue along a possible alternative to the Tubi trail, known as Tubino, a downhill trail that takes you back to the main road. If instead at the sandy corner you keep to the right, you will enter a section with tight corners and some pedalling, 300 m long, followed by the most exciting part of the route, with berms and exhilarating jumps, that takes you down to Coldirodi, end of the trail.
