Via Verda Llobregat de Cal Rosal a La Baells

Bonita y fácil ruta que sigue la Via Verda del Llobregat. Salimos de Cal Rosal cerca de Berga y llegamos hasta el punto en que termina la vía cerca de la base del pantano de La Baells siempre siguiendo el río Llobregat.

La ruta es muy fácil y no llega a 5 km pero transcurre por parajes muy bonitos y con muchas opciones de bajar al río que está frecuentado por aficionados a la pesca deportiva.

Salimos de Cal Rosal donde hay muchas opciones de aparcamiento y comenzamos la Via Verda.

Es todo llano y vamos siguiendo el curso del río entre árboles. El camino es de tierra compacta con algo de grava suelta. Pasamos algunos túneles. Uno de ellos requiere que llevemos luces. Muy relajante escuchar el gorgoteo del agua durante todo el camino.

Llegamos a un punto en el que cruzando el Pont de Pedret, bonito puente gótico, podemos subir a la iglesia de Sant Quirze de Pedret. Es una subida fuerte de cemento pero no tiene ni 1 km así que merece la pena. Si nos fijamos veremos el Santuari de Queralt justo enfrente.

Bajamos y retomamos la Via Verda que finalizará en medio km o así.

En ese punto dejamos las bicis y bajamos al río para cruzar al otro lado a través de una pasarela y hacer un poquito de trekking hasta que llegamos a ver el muro del embalse de La Baells que no puede verse desde donde finaliza el camino ciclable.

Mismo camino de regreso.

It’s a Beautiful and easy route following the ‘Via Verda del Llobregat’. Departing from ‘Cal Rosal’ near Berga, following Llobregat River and arriving near the base of La Baells water reservoir where the ‘Via Verda’ ends.

The route is very easy and it is not even 5 km in length but it goes through beautiful settings with many options to go down to the river which is frequented by sport fishing aficionados.

We start at Cal Rosal near Berga where there are many parking options and we have the ‘Via Verda’ right there.
It’s all flat and it follows the river course. The compact dirt with some loose gravel road goes among trees. We will go through some tunnels. One of them requires head lights. Hearing the gurgling of the water all along the path is very relaxing.

We get to a point where crossing ‘Pont de Pedret’, a beautiful gothic bridge, we can go up to the church of ‘Sant Quirze de Pedret’. It’s a steep climb on a concrete track but it’s not even a km long and it’s worth while. If we pay attention we will see ‘Santuari de Queralt’ on the ridge across.

We go down and resume our ‘Via Verda’ journey that will end in half a km or so.

We leave our bicycles there and go down to the river level, across a walkway to the other side and we go trekking for a bit until we can see the wall of the ‘La Baells’ water reservoir which can not be seen from where the ‘Via Verda’ ends.

We take the same way back.
