Itinerary description

Started at kalopanayiotis and went up a paved side road for 5 Km to reach the xylogefyro. Then followed a steep rocky climb to get to a mostly downhill run with minor uphills. Crossed the ystarouda picnic area and followed the path down to the creek. We had to cross the creek several times and fortunately there was not as much water. I assume later in the winter it can get too much water to the point the crossing can be very difficult. Once we made it up to the xylogefyro we traced our steps back and followed another path that took us back to where we started. This leg required us to push the bikes 3 times over a very rocky and steep area ( recommended only for the brave -hearted). 15 out of the 20km was a single track path. I rated it ‘Very Difficult’ because of the handful of times we had to push our bikes up a steep rocky hill though it was never more than 30 meters long. The rest of the trail O would rate as ‘Difficult’.
