Itinerary description

GR221 starts from the car park located below;
https://maps.apple.com/?ll=39.604747,2.408859&q=Dropped%20Pin

The main trail is easy to follow with steady inclines along the way for 1.9km at which point I left the trail and explored the terrain to the left, it's a short section which is parallel to the way you'll return on the loop if you follow the entire route I've set.
There is a short downclimb at the end of this section.

Once you re-join the main trail you continue a little further down and around until I once again leave the trail and head straight up to the summits (2), this ascent is easy, there's a relatively good trail already to follow.

Once you've reached both summits you'll see I've added a "risk" point, this is a cool spot for a snack or some shade but it's a steep decline so proceed with caution.

Eventually I work my way down and around the first summit towards the main trail once again but I cross it and head down into the valley and cross the small stream so I can eventually reach the rock face / formations ahead, my goal being to explore them and climb up to see what's on top.

If you don't want to climb up you can simply turn around, keep the rock face on your right hand side and walk along it as it will eventually re join the bend in the main trail at waypoint 7, from there you'll have skipped the section I do from waypoint 10 to 11 which involves the climb.

If you do the climb, take your time, watch your footing, check for loose rocks etc. Once on top I was expecting a ridge but it's another field of boulders and unique rock formations, the grass is deep so watch your footing for trip hazards or loose rocks, a rolled ankle is very easy up there. Keep heading up and over and it soon leads back down to the trail, close to waypoint 5, almost parallel.

After that it's just a chilled stroll back along the main trail to the carpark!

**DISCLAMER: This trail is my own personal trail, I made it up as I went along. Proceed with CAUTION as any untoward accidents related to the use or download of my trail will not hold me liable. This trail should be utilized with care and with careful planning and familiarization of the surrounding area. The trail has been created based on my sound route judgement and careful planning, I expect the users/downloaders to prepare well and plan for the route accordingly**

Hunting in the area.

There are two more of these signs along the way as warnings to stay on the trail due to active hunting, usually I don't experience any issues and tend to carry an orange banner around my backpack to stand out just in case. You don't want to spook a trigger happy Spaniard!

To re join the trail, down climb from here. Easy enough.

Trail continues / curves from here as it would have if you didn't enter the boulder field and down climb, I just wanted to explore the boulders / terrain.

Goal

This is the small summit I wanted to reach as well, which again involves leaving the trail and heading directly up. If you look at the elevation gain graph you can see that at 2.5km I leave the trail and head up, I sought the most straightforward route so nothing complicated!

Shade / Snack Spot!

On the day it was particularly windy so didn't provide much shelter from wind but definitely from the sun. It's a great little vantage point, just be cautious it is quite steep so your footing must be accurate and steady. **DISCLAIMER: This trail is my own personal trail without following any other route. Shortly after this way point around 3.7km into the route after completing the three summits I leave the trail again and head down towards a small stream/torrent running down the centre of this pass in the mountain, it's a bit tricky with footing so take your time as the grass is very long and rocks are well hidden which can be trip hazards.

Climb

At this point you can either turn around, keep the rock face to your right hand side and follow up until you re join the trail. Instead I kept going down and around this point where I found a section to climb up in order to reach the ridge on top. Choose your climbing spot carefully as it's very much a case of once you start, you must commit.
