Itinerary description
I capped off 2020 with a winter hike to a mountaintop accessible by various routes. Starting with a cable car ride from Wolfenschiessen to Bannalpsee lake, I walked through the snowy landscape to the Bannalp pass. The climb was straightforward, save for a steep, chain-equipped section. At the summit, I fed a wild bird and camped below the peak, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the snow-covered mountains. It was a spectacular and peaceful end to the year.
