Itinerary description
2 days hike to Volcano El Misti in Perú. 5.822 according to Wikipedia 5.815 (my gps). Drove from Arequipa few km from the mountain. Arequipa is in 2.335 m and second largest city in Perú with population of 840.000.
I rank it as very difficult because you need altitude adjustment but not very technical.
I had the impression before that there where good path all the way to the top, but it is not and often hard rock and loose sand.

I was there ten years ago (october 2003), hope it will be safe from massive groups https://is.wikiloc.com/fjallaklifur-slodir/el-misti-5-822m-2401135/photo-925230

I climed Misti on May 2014.
It hasn't any tecnical pas, it is just walk on the sand and ashes.
Wind can be a problem so it is important to carry warm clothes.
It is hard to get a transport from Arequipa to volcano base.
Sunrise from the top is amazing, sunset form the advanced camp must be osom as well, but when I was there it was cloudy and I couldn't enjoy it :(

fantastic photos faltimiras!
I know there is a bus from Arequipa to Charcani and from there is like an 8 hours hike until the basecamp. That means, first day get to the basecamp, sleep there for the night, start the climb very early in the morning and then try to get back safe to the bus station. Is that doable? Does anyone has ant recommendation?
